SLS 78/R - Through-beam Safety Light Barrier Type 4
Through-beam safety light barrier is an active optoelectronic protective device (AOPD) type 4 according to EN-/IEC 61496-1, -2. It consists of transmitter and receiver.
The Type 4 light barrier, like the ROBUST light grid system, is designed for operation under unfavourable environmental conditions. With the help of deflecting mirrors, security barriers on several axes may also be created.

Consisting of a red-light laser barrier and a special reflector, this system qualifies for safety class Type 2 in accordance with EN/IEC 61496-1, -2 when used in conjunction with a TNT test monitoring unit or with MSI modular safety interface. This new sensor technology offers the advantages of economical and quick installation as well as simple alignment.
